This is Me

Hey yo! I’m Laura.

Dating this man is probably my #1 favorite thing to do.

Meet the Photographer

I’m married to my best friend, and mama to 4 really awesome babes, one of which is due to make his appearance in January! I’m a lover of Hallmark movies, watercolors, adventuring, and rainy day chocolate chip cookies. Wait, what are rainy day cookies? They are a tradition invented by my mom and they are what they sound like. Cookies you make when it rains. Here in Southern California that doesn’t really happen very much, and it’s always a treat!

My humans. They are a hoot.

How I Got Here

When I was in 6th grade my dad got this idea to go from the bottom of California to the top and visit all the California Missions. They are a huge part of California’s history. On that trip he handed me a digital camera; back then they were bulky and super square. He told me to go take a lot of pictures. This is where it all started for me. I got such a rush by capturing beautiful light, or figuring out how to frame objects in the photograph. From then on I was never without a camera. I started taking engagement photos for friends in college and haven’t looked back.

My parent’s with my babies! They are so much bigger now! Why?!

In my wildest dreams I imagine that when we are retired my husband and I will get an adorable Airstream, and we’ll travel the US. I’ll take pictures of the places we go and the people we meet and I’ll have a glorious gallery somewhere. I’ll also hike Mt. Whitney and go to Iceland. Taking pictures of it all, of course! Or maybe I’ll just live in the moment. 😉 Really I just love exploring new places and documenting them. That’s something I love about the sessions I do. I get to make new friends, and help them see the most beautiful parts of their life-the people they love.

One of our favorite places is Joshua Tree. Practicing for when we explore the country <3

Thanks for being part of the ride!
